about
Sergey Khanukaev-musical creator and artist that skillfully uses sound paints on white canvas of silence. He comes up with unique musical shades, creates whole pallets of musical improvisation. He transmits freedom of sound extraction, that tek his listeners on a deep journey, full of adventures.
He’s a musician, traveler (although most of his life was spend in Berlin). Sergey studied composition and electronic music in Berlin, took master classes in Paris, Seattle, Jerusalem. He had been performing at many international venues, festivals since 1998, had been awarded several artistic residences.
The main artistic focus is definitely given to electronic and electroacoustic music and continuous researches in sound journeys. His work includes installations made with sound and mixed media, soundscapes and site-specific creations and improvisations.
Series of educative events “Easy Listening”, that populates old music culture is one of his latest projects.
Last years remarkably showed high need to share the experience and knowledge earned, and as certified life coach he offers a new path in sound healing called “Soul Journeys”
Music writing is like a note of something that almost reached ending before it hardly started. It’s not just “drawings” with stencil.
It’s a process of humans’ thought development fixation. Improvisation, as if something removes from sounds’ rout and acquires shape.
I try to take a look from the side and understand, maybe even “read” composition in my head.
Music influences us inexplicably. We listen to it so we can have a rest from all problems, dive into fictional world.All this takes place somewhere where words, pictures, light can’t get.
Music on the one hand is an effective way of immersion into a certain state. And on the other hand it’s creation. We create to get emotions.
Producing Music
Meditation and healing music
I write meditation and healing music. New forms of meditations, alternative deep dives, traditional shavasana, indra and others that will guide you, help to connect with yourself. It’s the perfect musical accompaniment into the deep world of understanding yourself and everything that’s around you.
Sound installation
I work with electroacoustic and electronic sound installations. I create special musical accompaniment that will increase visitors impression about installation. Improvisation concert
I play improvisational concerts with and without acoustic instruments. I have an extensive experience in collaborating with different musicians and editors. Theater and movie music
I write music for dancing theater, performances.I live theater life some long time already, moreover I produce my own shows. With great pleasure I participate in different projects, widely open for co-operation and commanded music. Teaching
Massive background and a lot of experience in teaching history and theory of electronic and electroacoustic music. I can be a guide to the world of musical sketches and drawings. I’ll teach you techniques and basic principles, also I can develop your composer skills.
